The Model 14-1/2 was introduced in 1914 and only manufactured until 1922. It is one of the more desirable of all the Remington slide action rifles. This model was available in both .38-40 and .44-40 and due to the flat nose bullet, has a standard non-twist full tubular magazine. It is retained to the barrel by two hangers. Features full round barrel, full magazine, blued finish, Remington sporting front and rear dial sights, grooved walnut forend, pistol grip walnut stock and black composite logo buttplate. This is a standard takedown model that remains in beautiful, lightly used, near mint, all original condition. There is high edge wear at muzzle, high edges of bands and frame and some very minor age freckling, but would easily rate 95% or better overall. Walnut stocks are excellent with just a couple of minor bumps and bruises. Fine action and bore. This is far above average and one of the nicer Model 14-1/2s we have seen, sure to please even the most discriminating collector.
