Gun A) Round steel Damascus barrels with solid matte rib with dolls head extension and marked "BELGIUM LAMINATED STEEL". Left barrel marked "CHOKE BORE", engraved breeches, engraved sidelock hammer action and trigger guard, double triggers, locks marked "Neumann Bros" on both sides. Replaced semi-pistol grip stock with checkered panels on each side of wrist, hard black buttplate and grip cap, silver oval escutcheon on bottom, checkered splinter forend with Deeley release. Fair condition as redone. Barrels retain 50-60% original Damascus finish, some corrosion in bores. Action retains a grey patina with re-blued locks. Trigger guard tang does not fit stock and barrel tang has been repaired with three screws. Stock has been taken from another gun and altered to fit this shotgun. Several wood repaired and replaced areas, crudely checkered wrists. Forend is very good with some checkering redone. Gun B) Round blued barrel stamped "J RUPERTUS PHILA. PA. U.S.A. PAT. NOV. .12.1878", single shot brown steel action with button forward of trigger guard and side opening mechanism which swivels barrel to the right, extractor. Plain walnut straight stock with brown steel buttplate and plain walnut forearm. Fair condition as refinished. Barrel has worn markings and a few nicks beneath finish. Action is loose and has been sanded and filed before refinishing. Stock is very good as refinished with some cracks and repairs around tang and scattered marks from use.
