This lot consists of two Roseville vases from the Thorn Apple and Iris collections. The Thorn Apple collection was first introduced in 1937 with a pattern consisting of a two sided design. the first side consists of a trumpet-like blossom surrounded by pointed leaves and the other side has a thorny pod on a lion green stem with pointed leaves. The Iris collection was introduced in 1939 with having iris flowers embossed on each piece with pale green stems and leaves.
