This type of revolver can be found featured on page 183 of “The Webley Story” by Dowell, plate B, one of the last of the Webley Greene Target Models. Features tip-up frame, left side lever release, octagon barrel, six shot, factory nickel with smooth walnut two piece grips, lanyard ring, double action and wind-drift adjustable rear sight. Frame is stamped “WG Target Model”. Barrel is stamped “England” on left side. Matching number on cylinder and barrel. Top of barrel stamped “P Webley & Son London & Birmingham”. German silver front sight blade stamped “20 Yards”. Overall this revolver remains in excellent condition. Retaining a minimum of 70% original factory nickel finish, balance simply flaked blending to patina. Cylinder walls look unfired with no burn. Near mint bore. Near mint grips. Checkered trigger and wide spur target hammer. Locks up like new. Revolver was produced circa turn of the century. The book lists this as the final model with the barrel based on a series of revolvers that began in the late 19th century.
