These were manufactured by DWM for military contract sale to Portugal between 1908 and 1910. Officially called the Model 1909, this is a very rare gun with approximately 5,000 manufactured. It has a royal crest above chamber with DWM on toggle. Blued finish with straw colored small parts and checkered walnut grips. All matching numbers except wood bottom magazine not numbered. Right grip panel stamped “96”, left grip panel has written “1996”. Has a grip safety. Magazine has wood bottom with aluminum body. 75% original blue on metal with straw small parts. Barrel is thinning on left side from holster, on sideplate bump and rails. Front and rear grips straps are a grey patina. Fine bore and action.
