Octagonal smoothbore barrel with gold band and stiff-leaf engraving at breech. Top flat marked “HUTCHINSON-DUBLIN” and has an Irish registration number stamped on it. Barrel tang has a panoply of arms engraved on it. Lockplate and cock engraved with military motifs, lockplate marked “HUTCHINSON” in center, roller frizzen and waterproof pan. Finely engraved silver furniture, triggerguard engraved with military motifs on bow and terminating in an engraved pineapple finial. Buttcap engraved with stiff-leaf patterns. Fine figured walnut stock with checkered grip. Ramrod is absent. Excellent condition. Barrel retains a light grey patina and some traces of Damascus. Lock retains a grey patina with sharp engraving and showing little use. Stock and furniture are excellent. Stock has some light scattered marks from use.
CORRECTION: This pistol now has the wooden ramrod.
