Blued side by side barrels with solid matte rib. Both barrels marked "SPECIAL-GEWEHR LAUE / STAHL / FRIED KRUPP A.G./ESSEN" with three intertwined rings. Breech is engraved with several engraved borders and both barrels are stamped "Nitro" on sides with German eagle. Scalloped boxlock actions with finely engraved scrolls and pinwheels, stipple decorated breeches with cocking indicators on top behind each breech, engraved lever, extractors, double triggers and non-automatic safeties. Engraved steel trigger guard, highlight figured walnut straight stock with checkered panels on each side of wrist, serrated horn makers buttplate, checkered splinter forearm with engraved Deeley release, sling swivels. Good condition. Bores have some light pitting and surface patina. Barrels retain 80-90% faded blue finish with some wear at breeches and on rib, some areas are turning to brown and overall with scattered light surface rust. Action retain a grey-brown patina. Stock is very good, finish has been stripped, one hole filled near wrist and scattered marks from use. Forend with small splinter missing on left side against barrel.
