Offered is a standard manufactured K98 short rifle. Bridge is dated 1938. Has "243"’ factory code, manufactured Mauser-Werke AG, Berlin, Borsigwalde. This carbine, or short rifle, was the standard shoulder arm of the German Armed Forces during World War II. This Mauser remains in incredible all original condition with complete matching numbers to include: frame, barrel, rear sight, stock, safety, bolt, bolt handle, floorplate and trigger guard. Original sling and muzzle cover. Laminated stock is excellent. Steel buttplate. Excellent bore and perfect action. Right side of receiver has Waffenamt "25". Even the trigger guard screws have matching numbers with “25” stamped. 70% finish on barrel bands. Barrel is blue-grey finish. No import marks. Excellent example of an early Nazi Mauser.
