Round, smoothbore cannon barrels, fitted with lugs for barrel removal. Flintlock mechanisms on right sides, marked “IAS DASENT-1741” on each breech, below the cock’s mainsprings, along with British proofs and maker’s marks on bottoms of breeches. Scroll engraving on trigger guard bows and breeches. Walnut grips with small vacant silver escutcheons and silver circles inlaid into butts. Good condition, all steel components have a dark brown patina with some scattered marks and light scattered pitting. Possibly reconverted; one frizzen is loose, as tab for spring is missing. Stocks very good, refinished and with scattered marks and some minor repairs. Both pistols have been professionally reconverted to flinklock configuration.
