Round tapered smoothbore barrel, marked “C11” on top near breech. Flat lockplate with beveled edges, stamped at tail with double headed eagle proofmark and “854” in center. Percussion style hammer and exploding “Zunder” primer tube lock action. Manufactured in 1854, determined by the 854 on lock, a standard for these pistols, first digit was left out. Brass furniture with large barrel band, all components marked “25”. Austrian beech full-length stock with no ramrod channel. Excellent condition, steel components have a light grey even patina, markings excellent. Brass polished. Stock excellent, a few light storage marks.
