Standard issue U.S. pre-Spanish-American War rifle. Frame is stamped "U.S. Model 1896”. All metal is a grey patina. Rear sight still has some Nitre blue. Original stock is excellent, cartouche visible but not readable. Proof “P” on wrist. Strong bore. Fine action.
