An improved version of the G41, introduced in 1943 with a modified gas system. Built by Carl Walther. Has the ac code and dated 1944. These rifles were issued to German sharpshooters. The receiver is grooved for a scope. It has a box magazine, semi-automatic, military sights, laminated stock and forend and cupped steel butt plate. All metal is a silver-grey patina. Waffenamt stamp on left side of frame. Matching number on bolt. Left side of stock has Waffenamt stamp. Trap plate in butt. Magazine is stamped “K43” with aye code and Waffenamt. Underside of rear sight stamped with Waffenamt. Right side of stock has a small closed 1-1/2” crack, otherwise wood is in excellent condition.
