Rounded flintlock. Lockplate stamped “1826/US” on tail and “W.L. EVANS/V. FORGE” in center, brass pan and re-enforced cock. Three steel barrel bands, steel Type II furniture and steel ramrod. Walnut full length stock. Good condition, barrel markings have been cleaned off, some scattered light pitting, all steel components with traces of brown finish or rebrowned. Lock reconverted, markings very good. Stock very good, large gouge behind second barrel band and scattered marks from use.
