Typical conversion of a Sharps Civil War carbine to fire centerfire cartridge. Stock does not have patchbox. Original rear sight. Replaced blade. No visible stampings on round barrel. 1859 is the latest patent date on right side of frame. Walnut stock has cartouche under bar. Wood has been refinished with repaired crack on right wrist. Two repairs on top of comb. Frame has some pitting, as does barrel. Fine action. Strong visible two groove rifling. Original saddle ring bar and ring.
