Most likely of German Manufacture, circa 1920`s. When mechanism is wound Billy would nod away endlessly for hours. Often times devices such as these were not children’s play toys but rather attention getters in shop windows. A well-defined form covered in fur, possibly goat fur, he has glass eyes, lying in a recumbent position he is realistic in both shape and size. Overall some fur loss most notable to his front left leg, mechanism is functional but in need of fine tuning for continuous nodding action.
