This is the last United States issue carbine and is standard in all respects. Distinctive features include the carbine marked rear sight, walnut handguard with forward hump, no saddle ring, and walnut stock. Stock cartouche not visible and no proof “P”, either refinished or field replacement. Barrel is a smooth blue-brown patina. Frame and magazine are basically soft gun metal grey turning plum. Stock is excellent with no cracks or chips. 20% original blue on trigger guard. Fine action. Excellent strong bore.
