Front features etched glass panels reading "Lorillard Tobacco Tin Tag". Hinged front doors are engraved "P. Lorillard & Co. 1760-1883". Filigree on the right top has been broken and repaired several times. Includes handwritten letter to the consignor from dealer with a newspaper clipping that shows an assortment of pieces sold in the estate sale from which it was purchased, including a similar case. Very nice.
