This example has the Remington Arms Type 3 second variation hammer, a Type 2 checkered trigger. Left side of frame has the “W.B.” inspector stamp (Waldemar Brober, June 1941 - June 1942). Barrel is stamped “N.M. 7267717 Colts Mfg. Co.”. Bushing is stamped “7267718 N.M.”; post-World War II. Right side of slide is not stamped, left side has patent dates with Colt pony in center. Right side of frame is stamped “United States Property M1911 A1 U.S. Army”. The plastic Coltrock Type 1 stocks feature a hollow interior with rounded end. Finish is basically a greenish-grey parkerized patina. Has checkered slide stop, safety, and arched mainspring housing. Proper World War II magazine. Nice early, World War II pistol in used but well-cared for condition.
