Octagonal blued barrel with matte top barrel flap and integral sight or scope rail towards breech. Case-hardened hooded front post sight. Case-hardened falling block action, finely engraved with florals and scrolls on each panel, the right side with a German rifleman on a stippled ground; left side with a female target shooter with a rifle on stippled ground. Bottom of action, lever, and breech block all engraved with foliage and stippling. Top of action inlaid with “SYSTEM - AYDT.” in silver; unique case-hardened peep sight with adjustments for windage and elevation. Operated by a key-winder. Case-hardened crescent butt plate engraved with florals on top tang and lever engraved en suite with action and butt plate, double set triggers. Partially figured walnut butt stock with ornate checkered panels and large comb with integral cheek rest and relief carved thumb rest, forend with two relief panels forward of action on each side and a triangular panel of checkering on bottom forward of action. Blued sling swivels on barrel and butt stock. Excellent condition, barrel retains perhaps 98% blue finish, somewhat thinning and fading to a plum color. Action retains about 50-60% of case colors with scattered areas of spotting and some areas turning to brown. Stocks are excellent, with light scattered storage marks and some fading, small abrasion on edge of cheek piece on edge of butt stock. Excellent bore with deep rifling, action tight.
