Gun A) Manufactured 1926. This is a standard Field Grade takedown with blued finish and walnut stock. Modified choke and single bead front sight. 70% original blue on barrel and forward tube. 20-30% blue on frame. Walnut forend is excellent. Buttstock shows numerous dings and loss of finish. Perfect action and clean bore. Gun B) Double barrel hammer gun. This shotgun was manufactured in Belgium and has numerous Belgian proofs. Top of the barrel is stamped “December 20, 1892 Eclipse Meteor”. Manufactured of compressed fluid steel. This is a side lock model stamped “Eclipse Gun Co.”. The use of the name “Eclipse” was a registered trade brand of Henri Pieper from 1874 to 1898. Left barrel is choked improved and the right is choked modified. Barrels are basically a soft brown patina with strong legends. Bores are very good. Locks up tight but does have a slight wiggle with forearm removed. Stocks are very good with no cracks, but does have normal mars. Includes a canvas takedown case and cleaning rod.
