Round blued steel side by side barrels with solid matte rib and single brass bead; rib marked "HUNTER ARMS CO., MAKERS FULTON N.Y. CROWN STEEL". Case hardened sidelock actions, both marked "L.C. SMITH"; left side engraved with a panel with two grouse, the other side with two snipe, also engraved with scattered scrolls and shells around breeches. Ejectors, automatic safeties and double triggers. Highly figured walnut pistol grip stock with shaped checkered panels on each side of wrist and red Gun Pads recoil pad. Checkered splinter forend with ebony tip. This shotgun was manufactured in 1912 and is one of only 862 made. Good condition; barrels retain approximately 20% of original blue finish with much thinning; heavily worn on sides and top, scattered nicks and scratches overall; and rib with dents and marring. Action retains approximately 20-30% case colors, otherwise turn to silver. Trigger guard retains traces of blue finish. Excellent bores. Stock is good with crack around wrist, finish has been stripped off, and some wear to checkering and scattered marks from use. Forend with scattered scratches and dents; checkering heavily worn. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this firearm will be given to Ducks Unlimited Canada.
