Built on the J.P. Sauer Weatherby MK V action, the barrel was built sans sights. Floorplate is engraved “Weatherby Custom”. Custom stock features the stylistic Monte Carlo rollover comb with contrasting forend tip and grip cap. Stock has the Pattern 10-A inlays with dark walnut and maple and Mother of Pearl centers. The forearm has the same smaller pattern on both sides. The stock has sling eyes, a solid red Decelerator pad and is not checkered. Grip cap has a Mother of Pearl diamond. Shows light use and retains fully 99% of the original finish. Near new inside and out. The .300 Weatherby Magnum is an excellent cartridge, giving greater killing power and flatter trajectory with less recoil than the old .375 H&H. It was the most powerful .30 caliber in the world when introduced, touted as “Tomorrow’s Rifle Today”. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this firearm will be given to Ducks Unlimited Canada.
