Beautiful, near mint, deluxe, early Weatherby built on the early Weatherby FN stamped Mauser action. These actions were only used on Weatherby rifles until 1960, at which time he switched to J.P. Sauer. Standard features include ramp front sight, sporting rear sight, drilled and tapped for scope, blued finish, blued trigger guard and floorplate and Weatherby early marked black waffle pad (“Tomorrow’s Rifle Today”). The light wood stock is spectacular. The right side of the buttstock has an image of a bear, in a triple wood 3-1/2” inlay, the forearm has three No. 9-B triple wood inlays and the grip cap has a white diamond. Stock has sling eyes. Rifle remains in near new condition inside and out. Probably one of the finest pre-J.P. Sauer Weatherbys extant. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this firearm will be given to Ducks Unlimited Canada.
