This J.P. Sauer custom Weatherby features the blued finish, barrel has no sights, jeweled bolt, Buehler bases, checkered bolt handle, sling eyes, Weatherby waffle recoil pad, basket weave checkering on stock with rakish comb and roll over cheek piece with contrasting rosewood grip cap and forend cap. Floorplate is engraved “Weatherby Custom”. Both sides of the forend have the triple wood inlay in Pattern 6-B as found in 1970 catalog. Rifle shows little use, retaining 99% original finish. As new inside and out. Beautiful early custom German Weatherby. Gives greater killing power and flatter trajectory with less recoil that the old .375 H&H, and was the most powerful .30 caliber in the world when introduced. It was touted as “Tomorrow’s Rifle Today”. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this firearm will be given to Ducks Unlimited Canada.
