Round blued steel barrels with solid matte rib, fitted with flip up rear notch sight, and marked “9,3X72 NORM.” with extension at breech. Breeches engraved with two borders, left barrel marked “FLUSS-STAHL”, right barrel marked “KRUPP-ESSEN”. Tops of both barrels marked “J.P. SAUER & SOHN, SUHL.” Finely engraved sidelock actions, breeches with engraved fences and sideclips. Left side engraved with a pointer chasing two pheasants in a fenced field. Right side plate engraved with two detailed elk with a wooded background surrounded by fine scroll pinwheels. Bottom of action with scattered panels of scroll engraving. Both sides of actions marked “J.P. SAUER & SOHN, SUHL.” Greener crossbolt, extractors, non-automatic safeties with switch on left sideplate, cocking indicators for all three barrels, barrel selector switch on tang, double set triggers. Engraved blued lever and scroll engraved blued trigger guard. Highly figured walnut pistol grip butt stock with checkered panels on each side of grip, Decelerator butt pad, engraved blued pistol grip cap. Walnut fore end with engraved Deeley release and checkered panels. Excellent condition, barrels retain 60%-70% blued finish with wear at muzzles and sides of barrels. Scattered areas of light pitting along right barrel and rifle barrel on right side. Bores are excellent and shiny. Action has generous traces of case colors, but mostly turned to silver patina, engraving is excellent and shows no wear. Safety with some checkering worn flat, and some action screws slightly marred. Trigger guard retains about 80% blued finish with some edge wear and losses to finish on tang. Replaced walnut butt stock is excellent, and fore end has a few scattered marks from use. Stocks were painstakingly refinished to match with weeks of hand rubbed oil applied.
