Octagonal two-stage barrel, bore measures .85 with calipers. Breech has two inlaid silver bands and two columns of repeating silver tulips, along with “HASLETT/BALTIMORE” gold touch mark. Unique brass post sight with silver inlaid spider pattern surrounding the post, engraved tang and stiff-leaf around patent breech. Large, beveled percussion lockplate with vacant oval brass inlay in center. Iron furniture, triggerguard engraved with fowl scenes and terminating in a pineapple finial, engraved iron buttplate. Vacant silver shield wrist escutcheon and two silver inlays surrounding barrel keys on each side of the forend. Fine figured walnut stock with checkered wrist and silver end-cap. Excellent condition, barrel retains a brown patina and some areas of light pitting, maker’s mark with some losses from casting. Lock has a dark brown and even patina, matching barrel and hardware. Stock excellent, some scattered marks from use, small chip at toe and crack beneath lockplate.
