Manufactured 1950’s. This is referred to as the Model 99-R heavy rifle introduced in 1932 and discontinued in 1960. Savage produced serial number 900000 in 1954, so this rifle dates from 1951 to 1953. Features full round barrel blued finish, sporting sights, pistol grip checkered walnut stock, serrated steel shotgun buttplate, case colored lever, brass cartridge counter, top cocking indicator, Banner 3x9 scope. This rifle is in superb all original condition, showing 98% of its original factory finish, having seen little to no use. Fine weapon in a desirable caliber in top condition.
