Manufactured in 1924. Standard features include full round barrel, full magazine, Winchester sporting rear sight, period high blade front sight, blued finish, walnut stocks, rifle butt, and sling swivels. Barrel and tube retain approximately 90% original factory blue with strong legends and scattered age freckling. Frame retains approximately 30-40% original factory blue with the balance simply flaked to brown patina, which is quite common on Winchesters of this period that obviously saw light use, but the heat treating allowed the finish to flake very easily. Walnut stocks are excellent, proud to metal, with no cracks. It is evident this rifle saw little use, but has aged and flaked. Strong clean bore and perfect action. Very nice classic Winchester 1894 rifle.
