Manufactured in 1959. The Model 17 is referred to as the K-22 Masterpiece, double action revolver built on the square butt K target frame with five screws. Features target adjustable rear sight, pinned barrel, recessed chambers, blued finish, case colored wide spur target hammer and thin serrated case colored trigger. Original Smith & Wesson logo diamond checkered walnut grips with silver medallions and black disc, not numbered. This revolver has seen only light use. Exhibits light drag line and a couple of minor spots of wear on trigger guard. Still retains 98-99% of the original factory blue finish. Grips are excellent. Fine bore and action. Nice, early Model 17.
