Blued single barrel with wide vent rib, flat sides, near breech are engraved with chiseled foliage scrolls. Orange fiberoptic front sight and white bead. Casehardened boxlock action with deeply chiseled scrolls, right side with a relief gold inlaid snipe and left side with a relief gilt steel pheasant, bottom engraved with scrolls, an eagle, and "ITHACA GUN CO./ITHACA, N.Y." Blued triggerguard; single trigger; ejector. Highly figured walnut buttstock with checkered panels surrounded by carved fleur-de-lis patterns, checkered panels behind each side of action and semi-pistol grip with black cap; maker's red recoil pad; fore-arm with checkered panels and Deeley release. Excellent condition, barrel retains about 95% blue with some light wear around muzzle and on sides, above breech. Action retains a light brown patina with traces of case colors in low or protected areas. Excellent bore. Triggerguard retains 60-70% blue finish. Stocks excellent with light scattered marks.
