These revolvers were introduced in May of 1980 and built on the square butt N Service frame. Features fixed sights, six shot, double action, blued finish, case colored hammer and trigger and Smith & Wesson medallion checkered walnut grips. Grips are numbered but not matching. We have examined over 30 of these revolvers and have yet to find a single example where the grips have matched the gun. This revolver was part of the 3,000 manufactured in 1980 for the New York State Police, but were never delivered and subsequently sold through retail channels. Revolver has a light cylinder drag line, otherwise it is as new inside and out. Comes in matching two piece blue box with cleaning kit and paperwork.
