Round blued rifled barrel with faceted breech stamped with four Bavarian proofs and serial number "3645" on bottom half near breech. Martini style blued steel single shot action. Two-piece wooden grips with ovoid steel screw escutcheons, stamped with marge crown over “M” on left side and lanyard ring on butt. Thumb cock, safety, trigger and action release all finished bright. Frame also proofed and all parts numbered with an “8”, even the screws. This was called the “lightning” as it was capable of shooting 15 to 20 rounds per minute with practice, which was incredibly fast for the period. Only about 4000 were made. Excellent condition. Barrel retains 20-30 blue finish with most faded to brown, markings are excellent. Receiver retains about 80-90% bright blue finish with some light surface rust. Grips are excellent with some light marks from use, grip straps are mostly light brown patina with some blue. Bore is excellent.
