This rifle was manufactured in 1961 and still exhibits all the early features that include: cut checkering, walnut stock, pistol grip, black composite buttplate, blued finish. This is a lever action magazine fed with original magazine. Features ramp front sight with hood and folding leaf rear. Rifle has seen little use. All metal retains approximately 97-98% original factory blue finish. Walnut stocks are excellent, retaining virtually all of the original finish with just a couple of very minor storage impressions. Fine bore and action. Period sling. These early Model 88 lever action rifles have become exceedingly collectible as of late, and this one is in very high condition.
