This U.S. Army Colt was original built in 1918. It was subsequently upgraded with later parts to include short checkered trigger and checkered arched mainspring housing. Pistol still sports the period short checkered wide spur hammer, checkered safety and checkered slide lock. The barrel is a Springfield replacement stamp “SP” on lug. Has original World War I sights. The entire gun retains approximately 98% of the reapplied blue finish (commercial) and sports a pair of carved ivory grips. Bore is near mint. Fine action.
