Octagonal smoothbore barrel, centered rear sight is typical of Lehigh County, Pa. Flat percussion lockplate with illegible maker’s mark. Brass furniture including two-piece engraved patchbox decorated with floral designs. Full-length sideplate and open nosecap. Plain walnut full-length stock. Ramrod is absent. Good, as found condition, completely untouched. Barrel retains a dark patina with lighter edges, scattered areas of surface rust and pitting around breech and bolster. Lock retains a dry surface with dark brown patina and some light surface rust, lockplate pitted. Brass unpolished. Stock good, scattered marks from use and some scratches and dents. Area of wood missing above sideplate, as well as one lock retention screw. Dry original finish on stock with some light areas.
