Tapered round smoothbore barrel marked “LONDON” on top near the breech. Maker's mark, English view and proof marks on left side of barrel near the breech. Flat flintlock lockplate marked “T. Ketland/& Co.” in center and engraved with an Acanthus leaf near the tail. Brass Furniture, oval wrist escutcheon with engraved border, triggerguard with acorn finial in relief and engraved with daisy on bow. Walnut full-length stock. In good, as found and untouched condition. Steel components have a dark patina with light surface rust. Brass unpolished. Stock good with some breaks and cracks along the forend and cracked completely around lock and sideplate, repaired with small nails during period of use. 2-3" cut from forend during use, ramrod short. Some wood missing above lock and at nose near muzzle.
