Octagonal blued barrel, engraved “MODEL 12 E” on top flat and top three flats finely engraved with scrolls near breech, flip-up leaf sight with white diamond. Blued tube magazine with engraved brackets. Blued slide action receiver has takedown screw on left side, finely engraved on right side with panel of squirrel in a tree eating a nut, surrounded by fine scrolls and borders, left side engraved with two hairs in a diamond panel surrounded by scrolls and borders and on top with a retriever’s head surrounded by scrolls. Bottom and triggerguard engraved with scrolls. Finely figured deluxe walnut stock and forend, both with checkered panels and semi-pistol grip, blued crescent buttplate. Excellent condition. Barrel retains 80-85% original blue finish with some thinning and faded areas. Slide bar with exposed metal from forend, otherwise bright blue. Magazine retains about 90% blue finish. Action retains about 95% blue finish with some light edge wear, especially on bottom. Stocks excellent with a few scattered dents and nicks. Excellent bright bore. Perfectly polished bolt. Remington marked buttplate shows some wear at corners, otherwise blue finish.
