Manufactured in 1891. Octagonal blued barrel, tube magazine mounted below. Case-hardened receiver and triggerguard, takedown knob on left side, tang marked “WINCHESTER/MODEL 1890/PAT. JUNE 26-88.” Partially figured maple buttstock with blued crescent buttplate, serrated forearm. Excellent condition. Barrel and tube retain 95% blue finish with very light edge wear, a few light scratches and some slide wear on bottom near the breech from forend. Excellent bore. Blue worn on tube and slide-bar from working action. Blued bolt retains 70-80% blue with some fading and light pitting. Action retains 85-90% bright blue case colors, with large area on right side faded in center of action. Stocks excellent, showing minor storage marks. Buttplate with 60-70% blue and darkened in faded areas.
