Round blued steel barrels with single brass bead; top barrel stamped "PROOF TESTED 410 BORE/3" CHAMBER" on right side and left side marked "STEVENS / J STEVENS ARMS CO. / CHICOPEE FALLS MASS. U.S.A. / MODEL 240". Scalloped boxlock action with two hammers and double triggers. Extractors. Finely figured plastic semi-pistol grip buttstock with makers buttplate and pistol grip cap; stamped checkered panels on each side of grip. Burled plastic forearm with checkered panels. Good condition; barrels retain traces of blued finish, mostly turned to brown with scattered scratches and marks from use; excellent and shiny bores. Action retains a brown patina with some scattered spotting. Trigger guard missing most of black paint exposing grey aluminum. Plastic stocks show many scattered scratches and marks.
