Blued round barrels with solid matte rib and push button activated flip up leaf sight, and scope rail mounted at back of rib, rib with doll’s head extension. Breeches engraved with borders and extension engraved with clam shell, right barrel marked “KGL. BAIR. HOFBUCHSENMACHER.” Left barrel marked “P. OBERHAMMER MUNCHEN.” Unique scalloped boxlock action with rounded top and bottom and finely decorated with engraved scrolls. Action opens with underlever beneath trigger guard, barrel selector switch with gold inlaid letters, cocking indicators for all three barrels, sliding tang safety, and push button flip up Oberhammer double peep sight, double-set triggers. Figured walnut pistol grip butt stock with checkered panels on each side of wrist. Black hard rubber butt plate and engraved trap door with four original bullets. Sling swivels with leather sling. Splinter fore arm with large shaped checkered panel, engraved Deeley release, and small triangular horn tip. Oberhammer was a maker to Kaiser Wilhelm and he held a patent for these sights, as well as for a unique over and under bolt action combination gun. Very good condition, barrels retain about 60% blue finish with some edge wear, wear to rib, and heavy wear on sides of barrels, a few scattered marks from use. Excellent bores. Action retains traces of casehardened finish in protected areas. Otherwise retains a mostly silver patina with some brown spotting. Butt stock good with one chip against action and on both sides. Some areas of marred checkering and a few scattered marks from use, butt plate with small chip at toe. Forearm very good with some worn checkering.
