Manufactured March 1942 to July 1942. Springfield Armory replaced barrel dated October 1964. Bolt heat lot number is D28287-2SA and is a blued replacement. Has post-war windage and elevation rear sight knobs. Left side of stock has DOD eagle in box, proof "P" with serifs in circle on pistol grip. Trigger group number D28290-2-SA; later replacement. Bottom of trigger guard stamped "C-46025-1-SA". Muzzle ME reading 1.5; TE reading 2. Shiny rifling, perfect action. All metal surfaces except bolt have the World War II green parkerized finish in excellent condition. Comes with bayonet and scabbard. Typical post-war rebuild.
