Blued round barrel with blued tube magazine mounted below, barrel stamped with Marlin marks, patent dates and caliber designation. Case-hardened slide-action receiver, triggerguard and takedown screw, hammer blued. Plain walnut stock and forend with diamond-shaped checkered panels, steel crescent buttplate. This is an extremely rare model, never sold to the public and given to investor’s in Marlin stocks, who purchased four or more $100 shares. This was offered in 1930 and 1931. Excellent condition. Barrel and tube magazine retain about 95% original blue finish with area of rust that has been cleaned near the muzzle and some very light surface rust. Action retains 90-95% bright case colors. Excellent bore. Stocks excellent, showing some light storage marks. An excellent example of a rare rifle.
