CORRECTION: Factory research: Type - Rifle, Caliber - .30-30, Barrel Type - 1/2 octagon, Barrel Length - 20", Pistol grip stock, Takedown, Short magazine, Date shipped - July 2, 1897. Last line states "Additional date listed - January 5, 1906". Engraving is not mentioned, but rarely is. The 20" barrel on this rifle is currently .38-55 and the 22" barrel is .30-30. Lyman side-mounted peep sight, sling eyes, and Marlin logo shotgun buttplate not listed, nor is the extra set of barrels listed; all of which are probably the January 5, 1906 additional date.
