This Colt was manufactured in 1880. Comes with a letter from the engraver, Barry Lee Hands of Montana, detailing the 'D' coverage engraving with bead punched background in the style of Cuno Helfricht, finished in silver plate and the grips are checkered one piece ivory by Charlie Kuder. Also comes with a letter from Colt designating Barry Hands as a certified master engraver; part of an elite group so designated by the Colt factory, due the same respect and artistic reverence and Young, Nimischke, Ulrich, Helfricht, and Kornbrath. The revolver is in near new, unfired condition since finished. Action is perfect and has a near mint bore. All factory markings are sharp. This exquisite revolver shows the quality detail only exhibited by master engravers and is signed on the butt. Words cannot describe the aesthetic appeal of this revolver and we will let the photographs tell the balance of the story.
