Round barrel engraved with fine scrolls and stamped "ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA" on top; engraved barrel wedge. Loading lever removed, engraved and nickel plated ejector rod housing on the right side. Rebated six shot cylinder, engraved and nickel plated, converted to fire cartridges, with cylinder ring with integral rear notch sight. Engraved and nickel plated frame and loading gate; left side engraved "COLT'S/PATENT." Hammer engraved on each side with a dog's head. Nickel plated brass gripstraps are engraved with scrolls; front strap reads "HANDS ENGR.". Ivory grips, left side with a relief eagle perched on a scroll which reads "LIBERTY." Complete with a letter from master engraver Barry Lee Hands, on his letterhead, which states that he engraved this pistol and includes the serial number. It also states that he is under contract from Colt's Custom Shop to provide them with Journeyman and Master qualities of engraving. The letter is notarized. Excellent condition, retaining all of nickel finish and appears to have never been fired since it was refinished. Grips excellent with a few areas of crazing lines from age.
