Offered is a Third Model bird's head Pocket Army with a 7-1/2" barrel closed frame. Butt is serial No. 7650, Back of cylinder 4890, back of barrel 5818. Frame retains approximately 75% original factory nickel and in engraved on right side "A.J. Hartwell Nashville, Tenn". Barrel has approximately 40% original nickel, balance patina. Cylinder has traces of nickel. Locks up tight. Indexes perfectly. Strong clean bore. This 1880's revolver is housed in a period Merwin & Bray double loop holster with monogram Texas half flap; straps are repaired. Has period .44 canvas cartridge belt; buckle broken. Nice early 1880's gunfighter's rig. This exact type weapon was once owned by Jesse James.
