Blued octagonal barrel with full tube magazine, ramped rear sight and front blade sight; marked "32-W" at breech and "MARLIN FIRE-ARMS CO. NEW-HAVEN, CT. U.S.A. / PATENTED. OCT. 11. 1887. APRIL. 2. 1889. AUGUST 1. 1899" on top flat. Case hardened lever action with blued loading gate; marked on top "MARLIN SAFETY" and on tang "MODEL 1894". Varnished walnut stock with steel crescent buttplate; walnut forend with steel end cap. Very good condition; barrel and tube magazine retain approximately 90% blue finish with some areas turned mostly to brown, some light edge wear and a few scattered marks from use. Action retains traces of case colors, but most has turned to silver or brown, except on tang which is drilled for a peep sight and protected the case colors. Stocks are good with scattered marks from use and some losses to finish. Very good bore.
