This rifle comes with a load of information. It was owned by the second television Lone Ranger, Mr. John Hart. Comes with several checks to and from John Hart from the Screen Actors Guild (checks confirm signature), an autographed photo, numerous photos of John Hart shooting this very rifle, and letter from John Hart listing this rifle by serial number and where he talks about the rifle and landing the role of the Lone Ranger in 1952. This rifle is featured in a booked called “Guns That Talk Vol. I” on page 250 to 257, which features John Hart’s guns and shows him shooting this Model 52 and lists the serial number. There are also several color photographs of him at his home with this firearm. Absolute rock-solid provanance. Manufactured 1935. Fine early pre-war heavy barrel bolt action magazine fed target rifle that has the high knife blade front sight, military style long range rear sight, single barrel band, plain walnut stock with pistol grip and checkered steel butt plate, and barrel has scope mounts attached. Rifle retains 98%-99% original blue finish with a couple of minor spots of age freckling. Fine bore and action. Walnut stock has repair at upper tang, otherwise excellent. High edge wear on trigger guard. Has an original Winchester magazine. Hart played in about one third of the classic television series The Long Ranger during the 1950’s.
