Octagonal brass barrel stamped "L.K." on top flat and surrounded on both sides with a series of stamped stars; muzzle decorated with stamped stars. Flat original flintlock lockplate stamped "ROGERS/BROTHERS/&CO/52 MARKET ST/PHILADELPHIA"; roller frizzen and stamp engraving. Brass furniture including: small leaf-shaped sideplate around rear lock retaining screw, buttcap with semi-stirrups, and triggerguard. Brass nosecap and ramrod ferrules. Partially figured maple stock with original violin finish. Grip has a unique bird's head shape. Excellent condition, showing very little use and is in original flintlock configuration. Stock excellent with original finish, some light wear to finish and a few light storage marks. Brass retains a mellow patina.
