Manufactured 1864. U.S. Martial inspector marks on backstrap. Cut for shoulder stock. Has one piece original walnut grips that exhibit shrinkage. 30% nickel plating on trigger guard; sharp barrel address. As is typical of many Civil War era revolvers, this gun exhibits some mixed numbers. Barrel is No. 7938, trigger guard is No. 1492, backstrap is No. 20013. Cylinder is not numbered. Finish is basically brown patina. Indexes fine. Very strong, clean rifled bore. The long flute cylinder is rarely encountered but gun is basically in attic-found condition having seen field repair and replacement.
